Just want to know, how durable Fenix 5x is if i'm going to use it for impact sports? (heavy bag training, sparring in mma, etc). I used fenix 3 hr before and it held up well. Will Fenix 5x be as durable or better?
I was concerned about how impact-resistant the internals of the 5X would be too.
Honestly, I just bought the Garmin HRM to record my workouts on the heavybag and it records the same data it would in cardio mode.
Thanks all for info. I think i'll refrain from using it first from contact sports. Though honestly, fenix 3 HR passed with flying colors.. used it almost daily and no single malfunction. Just not sure about 5x
It's not something anyone can say: it may take a single hit to smash the whole watch and there's people who've had faulty barometers just after a shower.
Even though a hit that leaves no marks would guarantee a free replacement, the risk is not worth given the high price of the device.
