change standard watch face while apps are running?

Hello, while running an app I can switch to my clock bx long pressing the lower left button. But it's not showing ne my active watch face but a standard analog one from Garmin.

How can I change that, I hate analog clocks and might also want some info that's on may actual active watch face while running an app.

Which activity are you using and which watch face? With the running app and others, I see whatever watchface I set as active. Maybe it's got something to do with that watch face's memory requirement or something.

You are right, works with other custom faces but not with SC8 I currently favor. So this generally doesn't work if a watch face is too complex?

No Idea why it doesn't work with SC8 - Use "Contract developer" to let the developer know.

Simple TEP isn't also acting during the activity ;-)

Collision of the memory with CIQ DataField?
When I am not using in the CIQ DataField activity, CIQ watch face is OK.
When I am using CIQ DataField, CIQ watch face isn't acting = Garmin watch face analogue.

Interesting... Simple TEP is actually pretty small memory wise.. but the thing about DF's may be involved. I'll look into this and submit a bug report with CIQ.

Yes, I can reproduce it with a single CIQ DF.... CIQ widgets seem to run fine though...

Actually, I head back from Garmin. It's not a problem at all. With CIQ data fields in a native app, there's not enough memory to run a CIQ watchface off the widget loop in the activity.

It has to do with the memory needed for a CIQ watchface. With a CIQ data field, there's not enough for it to run, so you see a native WF.

On the fr5/935 devices, watchfaces can be much larger (96k vs 64k).. And that difference comes into play here. That's why you can run CIQ widgets when you're in the widget loop of an app with a CIQ DF, as the widgets can only be 64k.
