Turn by turn following course not working?

I have followed 2 loaded courses for cycling events I've done lately and the watch will alert me if I'm off course(missed a turn, left course for supplies) but never gives me turn by turn directions. Is this a bug or do I have to enable something? These are GPX files put out by the official course setup people, so supposedly they should have TBT for Garmins.
Granted....I think they are initially made for the cycling series of devices like the 510,810,1000, etc, but I'd think they'd still all work very similarly with maps.

My settings are to follow course and I'm doing a cycling activity, I have base maps, topo 24k, and cycling maps enabled. If that helps.
I did disable the bottom "distance to" field on the map section, maybe this where it would tell me where to turn??

Same here, tbt is not working when follow course. I called garmin and they said they would look into it and that it should work. Perhaps you can call too and this will expedite them fixing it.

Same for me here, tried course with cycling and it does not give turn by turn instruction. The watch is only vibrating/beeping when off the track and back on the track.

Else, when the watch is creating the course, the turn by turn is working fine.

I want to be able to create course on basecamp and upload to the watch. And be able to keep the turn by turn notifications!
