Switch watchface at a time of day?

Is it possible to trigger a change of watch face in response to a variable the watch already knows about, in particular sunset time or a fixed time of day? I'd like to know because the one I prefer in the daytime is not so readable in the evening, when I would prefer to switch to one with a white background. Thanks!

That sounds like it would be a cool feature! I think it's more likely that a developer adds that functionality to a custom watch face versus Garmin adding it. For example, the watch face I use has a ton of different options which would probably allow one to add this feature. I would suggest reaching out to some watch face developers and asking them to add this to their design.

If it's just switching the background color, there's at least one watchface that has that option: Clarity - I know because I requested the developer add this feature. Not sure if it's been updated for the F5, though. I've made this request to Garmin too.
  • Thanks for the replies. Clarity doesn't seem to be available for F5 yet. I will contact the developer.
