Running Dynamics Pod + Fenix 5X = Cadence recording problem

I've got Fenix 5X firmware 4.10
When I tried to Run RD Pod + Fenix 5X - after 1 km I've got the following situation every time:
- Running Activity Fields were switched to normal watchFace. But Pulse info with notification for my train operates and shows me from time to time.

Look - some runnings metrics are disappeared in track? Cadence, GPS and more.
Battery status os ok for a sensor.

How to fix this problem?


All the same for another activity - just for test - Hiking - "Holes" in recording lines and changes from Activity fields to normal WatchFace.

When I tried to run with HRM-RUN + Fenix 5x - all the same route, all the same watch and distance - there is no problem with cadence.
What's wrong with RD Pod?
It seems - the main problem is RD Pod. it inititated some small crashes for Fenix 5X recording.
Any ideas ?

I suggest you need to contact Garmin support. First guess (and what you suggest earlier) is that your Run Pod is screwed up. I don't think I have seen any other complaints of this happening with the same combination on the forum. You could try changing the battery despite what it reports. Maybe adjust the position to see if it is a signal loss (should not be). After that, you may need to push support for a replacement.

Thanks for a quick reply. I'll try to replace the battery before and try to run again. I'll try to update my post this weekend.

I've replace battery to new one - issue the same. First period (1 km run) it's ok. When this track was saved and new one was started - I've got a HOLE in cadence. Activity was switched to my watchface. When I pressed STart button again - activity was opened and record was prolonged.

I've reported this issue a while back, but when I would go back to the watchface during an activity(run, walk, etc) I lose a GPS signal and connectivity to my ANT+ sensors. I've also experienced my watch going back to the watch face mid-activity without holding down the "Down" button. Since I lost GPS, my distance was short because I didn't notice it for a while. I was told this has been fixed and haven't experienced it in a while. But my data looked pretty similar to yours, hole in the pace and GPS track messed up when it did happen.

Now something that I am experiencing, every couple of days, is a spontaneous restart. Sometimes it happens during an activity(annoying) and sometimes I don't notice until I look at my 4hr HR rate widget and notice it's not showing the entire 4hrs. I've started new one Run with RD-pod.
I've found the following:
I've got a train in Calendar. Distance = 5 km.
When I run 1 km and save distance. after that started new one run again - Just only after that on 2nd km. I've got a hole in Cadence and switching of Activity fields to WatchFace.
If I run whole distance without saving - 5 km according to Calendar - there are no Holes and breaks in recording for RD-Pod.
It seems this is a bug for Fenix 5X firmware - not RD-pod. Could you confirm my investigations? Is it true?

What version of Beta update did you mean?
