A list of observations and bugs

1. When following a course using "follow course" the F5X doesn't provide TBT prompts and doesn't provide distance to next turn.
2. When doing a course using follow map, how to prevent the watch from recalculation a route?
3. When viewing maps, the zoom +- works but the pan up/dwn or right/left do not.
4. When using follow course the virtual partner screen shows up, how to turn off?
• 1.) I don't know/can't remember if it is a bug or by design
2.) Was the course done/created on the same map you use for "use map"?
3.) paning the map up/down, left/right is working well on my 5x
4.) I think it is by design, they should add the possibility to disable it

Are you using the 4.10 fw?

I wish I was given the green light to do outdoor sports again as I'm sure I've seen what he mentions in the only WALK test I've had last week with the navigational features (pretty disappointing but I still had nothing configured there, not even the data fields).
Please you should deliver this stuff to the beta team: [email protected]

I have the same problem on my F5 with firmware 4.10. It was not the case on F3.
Hope it will be possible to deactivate this virtual partner while following a course.

An other problem I have on navigation screen, when using "follow course" option, with a course I've build in Garmin Connect :
ETA seems to be correct but ETE not.
There is a number at the left of ETE (like 2ETE or 5ETE depending of the course selected) and the duration presented is a kind of intermediary time... but not the duration remaining to final destination. Is there a way to see ETE to final destination? or is it a bug?

I'm not sure to be clear enough.

Many thanks for your answers

Panning does work, not sure why it didn't work for me the other day. On that note my watch froze today and didn't respond to any key. Had to do a soft reset (hold light key).
The course was converted from bikewithgps but this worked fine on a friends F3. It was a matter of the watch rerouting me like a car navigation system would. This seems wrong when you tell the watch to DO COURSE that you created. I would think that the only time the watch should route you is when you ask it to navigate to a destination. So I would only expect a "off course" message, not a complete reroute. Reading how the edge works they have a setting that disables "recalculate" and I think we need the same setting. At the very least, before the watch routes you the way it sees fit (on a course you are DOing) it should prompt you for you to agree or not. I guess they intended that you route using FOLLOW COURSE for that but again, in this mode there are no TBT. I think that there shouldn't be two options, 1, route by map and 2, route by follow course. Instead, if I selected to DO COURSE than the watch should never reroutes and strictly follow the course. If I ask the watch to navigate me to a waypoint or a saved location then the watch should provide me a route. Also, all the route avoidance settings should not apply when I am DO COURSE.

Yes, running the latest 4.1
