I had this issue with the latest Beta firmware (that turned into this latest real firmware)... the high power mode for displaying a second screen/seconds wouldn't work with my CIQ watch face anymore.. had to revert back. I'm tired of chasing issues with new firmware so I'm just staying on the old one that actually works with stuff I use.
Well now I spoke too soon because as I plugged in my 5x to my computer this morning to charge it, it auto-updated to the new FW 4.1 and it was too late to go back once I noticed it. Now sure enough the temporary high power mode that allows my watch face to display seconds NO LONGER WORKS with the turn of my wrist. Super frustrating as this is the same issue that I had with the beta which I reported to Garmin but didn't get acknowledged. I emailed them again just now.. hoping to have a fix. Anyone that cares about this feature needs to stay on the previous FW.
I hadn't noticed this until RIEDID74 asked about it in the CIQ Forum, mainly due to that I've been testing my watchfaces with the new feature to show seconds all the time. The CIQ 2.3.1 SDK was released today, so "1hz" watch faces can be uploaded to the app store, and a few of mine are there already.
That's another work-around - you don't even have to move your wrist to see the seconds! :)
