HRV Stress test - advice please

Hi,

AM i the only one to use the HRV stress test (HRV Stress app)? And if not, am i the only one who always got a value of "1" ???
I've been using it for 1 week, wishing that it will get me some results... But it doesn't... What about you?
What the point of using it? Should i see those results somewhere?

Thx
Steph
  • I've been able to reproduce.
2 diffents test sit with arm moving or not, result = 1.
An other test up standing, result = 30.

So since that, i will always do it standing, like the test ask.
    Thx
    Steph
  • Okay I'm glad you got there in the end, but it's a bit of a surprise you failed to mention in your original post that you weren't following the instructions correctly.
If you had then you would have been told straight away that you need to stand in order for the test to work properly.

The reason being - it might not seem like it makes much of a difference to your heart rate, but it puts your heart under just enough stress to be able to amplify the Heart Rate Variability. If you're sitting down your body doesn't have to work hard at all and there isn't enough HRV for the chest strap to pick up.

Yeah, you're right. But englisg is not my primary language and i misunderstood that "stand" meaning.
Anyway, will see my result tomorrow cause i suspect that after the 1 test, others results are discard.
