HRV Stress test - advice please

Hi,

AM i the only one to use the HRV stress test (HRV Stress app)? And if not, am i the only one who always got a value of "1" ???
I've been using it for 1 week, wishing that it will get me some results... But it doesn't... What about you?
What the point of using it? Should i see those results somewhere?

Thx
Steph
  • It took a week before I started getting a stress score that wasn't just a 0 but now it's typically in the low 20s but will spike when my training load has been heavy, including a 100 one day which was totally in line with how drained I was feeling.
I think it takes a little while to calibrate your HRV so it can filter out noise.

You can find the results recorded here on the Connect site
    https://connect.garmin.com/modern/report/65/all/last_seven_days

Otherwise in the iOS app (and I'm assuming the android app) you'd find it under Performance Stats -> HRV Stress

    OK Carl, Thx.
I've watch a video from EPOC and they mention where it was in Garmin Connet (iPhone).
It shows a regular 1 at every single day so far (7 days). Will see what it will show tomorrow...

I was doing it with 2 different HRM pod who are supposed to support HRV (Garmin HRM-Run and 4iiii Viiiiva pod). I've also a HRM-TRI. I think i will try that too...

Try to stress yourself more :) Or just be happy, that you are not
  • Tried stress test yesterday for the first time after buying a HRM-TRI. Came out at 45 not sure if that is right or wrong will have to see over time, but 1 for a whole week doesn't sound right.
  • I've just done it for the first time using a HRM-Tri and I came out with a score of 14 so your "1" is definitely not right.
  • Since I've had the watch for the last couple of weeks my stress score has always been 1 also.

I've had the watch two days and got a score. 29. Not sure as I feel pretty stressed running 3 days in a row now with not enough sleep (our youngest daughter apparently doesn't like sleep nearly as much as I do).

I used the basic Garmin plastic strap.
  • Yesterday I was 31 using my Polar H10, this morning using the same stap I got a 1. Took the test again but this time with my HRM-Tri and still got a 1. You might be just unstressed. If you are getting the exact same score everyday though, you might be the most mellow person around or your watch might be confused.

    At least!!!
After 2 weeks of constantly having a Stess Score of 1, today i had a 28 !!!! Yeah!
It was on my second test today. I may have found a pattern...
All my previous test was done sit (at table or somewhere else, first thing in the morning...).
So after i got a 1 result during my first test today which occur during the time reading this forum, i try to make it up standing like it asked by the test.... Tadah!!!! 28!

Will have to test it again later...
    Thx
