Chalk it down to one of the many issues with Connect.
I've seen this before with my F3. If you have a beta version with a format like 4.0.2 or 3.0.1 connect will skip the .0 part and show the software as 4.2.0 or 3.1.0
It'll still have the data stored "correctly" in the background but it can't display it properly for whatever reason.
I wouldn't hold out too much hope of it getting fixed - it's fairly minor in the grand scheme of things.
Plus we're talking about a company that couldn't even fix the "filter by activity name" function on the activities page once it broke (months later they then "fixed" it by removing the option) and still hasn't come up with a fix for the Alarm Sync bug despite it being a nasty surprise for every new purchaser of the Fenix 5 series watches (and I'd assume the Quatix 5, the Forerunner 935 and the Chronos watches) and being known about for a good 3 months.
I'm only bringing up those examples as they are Connect related. Obviously there are other watch issues (like instant pace, gps, sensor dropouts etc.) but those are watch firmware related and a different group of developers.
