Alarm setting getting oversynced by connect

Hi

I set up a recurring alarm on my fenix 5 via garmin connect. Works fine.
But if i set the alarm to off on the watch because of a holiday, the whole alarm will be synced to "on" at the next time -> the watch waked me up on a holiday. yay. :p

If i delete the alarm on the watch it gets back to the watch with the next sync.
If i delete the alarm in connect, and set up one on the watch it will be deleted with the next sync.

this "connect is the master and every setting on the watch get synced away" behaviour isn't very useful.

Garmin won’t fix what they do not even accept to call a bug. This is their response from Nov 9th:

Hello Santiago,

In order to keep the alarm set on your watch, the alarm will need to be created in Garmin Connect Mobile. The Fenix 5 prioritizes the Garmin Connect Mobile settings over the settings set within the watch. To avoid problems that may cause multiple different alarms to be set within the watch and GCM, this prioritization must be made.

Because we have received many suggestions to allow the alarms set on the watch to take priority over the ones set in GCM, a change could come in the future to adjust these settings. However, in the meantime if you would like the alarm to stay on the watch for multiple days, it will need to be created in Garmin Connect Mobile.

May I add, I stated that if the watch gave me the option to set up an alarm and even the manual describes how to do it, the expectation is for that to work and not be overwritten without notice by GC/GCM

The alarm being disabled after a GC sync is still being actively worked. The teams working on this hope to have the permanent fix rolled out in the near future. We apologize for the delay.
