  • Hmm, the FR935 has in the Changelog:

We got CIQ up from 2.3 to 2.3.1 with 3.42 beta on the Fenix 5 (935 never got any betas from production release 3.30 until 4.02 beta). Although it wasn't specifically mentioned in the 3.42 beta changelog, the following was "Fixed an issue where ConnectIQ data fields were not able to record information to FIT files"; I suspect that fix was related to the CIQ 2.3 to 2.3.1 change.

    Um, why?
  • Finally managed to install 4.02. Not too happy, bluetooth now dis/connects all the time...
  • For your information: I am in contact with the support team because total ascent and descent is definitely not correct. Support had told me that they have informed the devs absout that. After my contact with the beta team (which gave a ridiculous response) I have contacted the support again if this behavior is mentioned a a bug and if the Garmin team works on it.

The answers (after serveral emails, a lot of explanations and facts/gpx-tracks and so on): no, this is not a bug, the team is not working on that.

    Can you believe this???

Almost as concerning is how poor the grammar is in that sentence! Firstly "As a" is not needed and if it was it should be "As an"

    It really inspires confidence........

    🙄🤔😳
  • Grammar

...Firstly "As a" is not needed and if it was it should be "As an"

As I remember from the school (English is foreign language for me) , "an" is used only before a word that starts with a vowel, eg: "an advice" , "an action",...

I think what andythetee wanted to point out is that "As a FYI" would mean "As a for your information" which indeed makes no sense. "As an" was mentioned because you could also write "As an information", and there the next word starts with a vowel :)

But from my point of view trying to teach people in a forum how to write correct English is not what it is meant for. As long as everybody understands I do not see a point in showing how good somebody's writing is...

At least I got what you wanted to say ;)

    Bye

The letter F is pronounced "ef"

I wouldn't normally pick up on grammar in a post but as the OP is a Garmin rep, it does look a bit unprofessional.
  • Anyway back to the point of this forum: Garmin F5

I thought that this beta had sorted the "counting floors" issue but unfortunately today it has gone back to its previous useless inaccurate self.
  • Counting floors has always been terrible. At work I walk up and down to the sixth floor at least 3 times a day and I'm luck if it captures 7 or 8 floor (out of 21 up). Not funny at all!
