Hello Fenix 5X users,

We have new beta software ready for your upcoming adventures!

Please read the 'notes' and 'installation instructions' in the 'Updates and Downloads' page found in the link below. We look forward to your feedback. FYI, beta updates are not compatible with APAC devices.

Localization issues

Watch set on Dutch:

1) Pre-defined Alarm labels are in English
2) Adding widgets through the context menu: English text (Add Widget)

Is this one "Fixed an issue where the device backlight would not work as expected when Do Not Disturb was enabled." somehow related to the issue were the light would not stay on permanently when using a watch face even if you had set always on in the settings?:eek:

no it's not - what you mentioned is no bug, it's by design :cool:

3.44 - > 4.02 sounds like A LOT of various bug fixes :)
Anyone noticed anything significant?

Beta team: any chance you could disclose your timeline for navigation specific improvements? Specifically I'm interested in the zoomable altitude graph for route / course navigation you mentioned you are working on. Also some clear instructions on how to work (successfully) with shaping points in basecamp based courses so that they alert on given events while navigation would be useful.

The bug with distance in the "remaining distance" data field is still there. That hasn't been fixed for more than 5 fw updates - that really sucks! I want to see the real distance to destination in the data field instead of only the direct line distance("as the crow flow...")

Stress Test HR is not working

Very strange but Stress Test HR is not working, more exactly it is working not all times, just 1 or 2 times per week its data comes in Garmin Connect. And I don't understand why is it. I'm trying to do it each day almost the same time and see that on watch Stress Test went through OK but nothing in GC. It started from receiving of watch about 3 weeks ago till now through all betas

Agreed. Ive forwarded my thoughts a few times about the bug. Its certainly a significant one

1) Sync/connection with BT and phone is causing greater number of watch face settings resets.
- In one case all I did was turn off the watch BT radio and the watch face reset

2) MTB activity summary shows 0m climbed even though ascent data was captured and delivered to GC.

Fake segments?!? Probably they are created when one segment is unstarred from strava

0 or more than 16000 or 32000

All this bugs still remain since the beginning
