WhatsApp

Hi

Notifications are working correctly on my 5x except for WhatsApp - any ideas what I am doing wrong. (I am assuming it is user error!)

    Connect Settings

    Ok, first thing is to check the settings on your Connect mobile app.
    Open the app, press on the 3 lines in top left corner to open drop down menu, scroll all the way to the very bottom, go to 'Settings', then 'Smart Notifications'. Now make sure Whatsapp is added to the list of apps which will send notifications to the watch. If not, press the 3 dots in the top right, 'ADD'.

    Hopefully that will sort it :)

    Hmm, my Garmin Connect mobile app doesn't have those options/lines etc, could you confirm your start screen for this series of instructions by any chance?

    Maybe it is an Android - IOS design difference of the app but the instruction is correct. Click some button and open the side manu, there go to settings and smart notifications page.

    I am using the Android Connect App. Although as you say, the instructions are the same, find the app settings (not the device settings) and go to 'Smart Notifications'

    WhatsApp notifications have been working fine on my 5X and iOS app; I never changed any settings, it just worked.

    So I assume if you can track down the settings on the phone that need changing, it should work for you too.
