App for Indoor Climbing

Following is my opinion only - could be wrong:
I must admit I cannot figure out at all what you would expect the watch to do with an indoor climbing app - certainly not automatically. Neither can I see Garmin spending any effort to make something. perhaps if you have a clearer idea of what you would want to see (and what would be possible) then some IQ developer could come up with something (or do it yourself). If all you want to do is count the number of climbs, you could make a counter with a new, very basic, indoor app and use the lap button to count - obviously this will not be interpreted as climbs in GC. Could it be done by using the barometric altimeter? Maybe but not sure how well it would work - you could always watch the altitude during a session and see if it was accurate enough to predict the number of climbs (doubt it). GC does have a "Rock Climbing" activity but I have no idea what it would show nor if you could use it inside.

Thanks! I'll give this a try. Ever consider a hangboard app? Would be nice to have timers to set for rest/hangs with the ability to do sets.

For hangboard, I can add an option to my app. I'm already tracking rest between climbs, so hangboard could appear similar to climbs. Will add this next week so check for an app update by then :)

If you can make it configurable for sets, for example 7x(12 second, 30 second rest), with a 4 minute rest between sets, that would be awesome. I generally don't have the watch on while doing a hangboard or climbing, but I sometimes wear my HRM with the watch on my harness just to see what a climbing session looks like. The data from the wrist based HRM has always been useless for me while climbing, but the HRM-Run works reasonably well.

I am also wondering.... there is an app for jumping out of a plane, but none for climbing...

on my 2nd watch (apple) it works very easy. but it is not that stoneresistant :-( 

Please Garmins, do some codework.
