Fēnix 5X – 3.42 Beta Release BETA PULLED

Hello Fenix 5X users,

UPDATE: We have been made aware of an issue regarding navigation that has forced us to remove 3.42. If you are using 3.42, please backdate software to 3.30 and load 3.41 by following instructions in the link below. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and a new version with this fix will be available in the near future.

We have new beta software ready for your upcoming adventures! Please read the 'notes' and 'installation instructions' in the 'Updates and Downloads' page found in the link below. We look forward to your feedback.

  • I'm staying so far as well. Hopefully the next beta is compatible. Silly thing is that Garmin still has no capability to restore the data from connect back to the watch like Polar has done for years already. You could go on and reset the V800 like daily and get the stuff back after every new sync.

So far I have not seen issues with the beta. And I have not bothered to try the navigation as it has been verified.

Being confined to swimming pool activities and indoor bike due to knee surgery I hadn't even noticed this problem with navigation.
Are there any news that you know of from the main IQ DEVs for the watch faces? Working, not working? Did they find the issue why some data is not being delivered to the watch face? Talking in general, no specific watch face.

I've spoken to the chap who makes GearMin a few times and the previous firmware fixed an issue causing watch faces to crash that had been affecting his watch face; he seems to have sorted out an issue he had specifically with his watch face where settings would revert back to defaults (so this wasn't a firmware issue) but he did tell me that it still seems some data isn't getting to the watch face properly (HR, GPS location to calc sunset/sunrise etc).
