[BUG] Distance Remaining data field when navigating

I was hiking yesterday and noticed that if I selected a point on the map to navigate to with my Fenix 5X, the distance remaining data is different across screens. I've taken a few screenshots as an example. Is it 2.09mi or 1.59mi? The odd thing is, the distance sort of converged over the duration of the hike and the gap narrowed as I reached my destination. Shouldn't the data source be the exact same though?

Additionally, even if the gap between "distance remaining" data fields started to narrow as I got closer to my destination, restarting the navigation would create a new fresh gap. Seems really odd. Anyone else have this bug, or is it possible I'm missing something?

I have already reported this issue to the fw team and they are aware of it.

It is showing only the direct routing distance instead of the real distance calculated on the ways on the map.
