Macbook no longer recognizes 5X after 3.30

As the title states, no amount of plugging/unplugging/jimmying/breath holding or otherwise will force my MacBook to recognize my 5x when I plug it in. I had zero issues with 2.9 and a new charging cable. Went to plug in to download the new beta and can't get anything to come up anywhere. The watch is charging just fine though... anyone else with this issue?

Yes.The same here but only that i have win10.Solve for this issue : you need to reset your watch to default. But of course that you will lose you VO2 MAX and training load.

So what happens when I factory reset my watch then go to plug it in and it still won't be recognized by the computer? If I remember correctly my CQ watch faces and widgets can be re-sync'd via BT with my phone, but can't remember if you have to have to have a USB connection to establish anything prior to connecting via BT to a phone/wifi etc.

I just don't want to brick my watch by restoring it with no ability to get it back to at least what it has now...

You can setup the watch completely through GCM. The cable makes installing apps/widgets/data fields, etc...faster through Garmin Express, but it's not required. Beta firmware is the one case I can think of off hand where the cable is required.

Thanks. That's what I seemed to remember but wanted to be sure.

Same here. 3.3 and 3.41b both work with no issues.
    Running macOS Sierra 10.12.4
  • Randomly started working fine again... odd
