Pics of Fenix 5 Sapphire with Metal, Leather and Amp Yellow Bands

Hey guys since was unable to find any photos of the metal band in the wild, I went ahead and pulled the trigger -- I LOVE it! Though I need to get it adjusted to my wrist size and it seems to be a fingerprint magnet but it is really good and completes the look of the Slate Grey for office wear. Coming from the standard 5, I was afraid that the Sapphire display may have less contrast but I can't tell the difference indoors or out. The leather band is really nice and thick too and will take some breaking in. The Sapphire came with a black silicone band. Here are some photos with [attempted] same lighting.

I have both the RED and AMP YELLOW . it seems that when I use either one of these I always get compliments on the watch. They look great with athletic clothing . I't is great to be able to change for whatever the mood is.
  • Loved the Metal and the Leather ones.

I have a 5S Black Sapphire, wish there was Black/Grey Metal Bands for it. (5 is too big for me :( )

The metal band is nice, but I find that it's probably not the best for the OHR. It's a bit inflexible in terms of getting it to that tight level and mine is a tad loose.

Did you get it adjusted at a jewlery / watch shop?

I agree and only will use it for office / meetings and definitely swap out one of the silicone for workouts. The quickfit bands DO work as advertised and it is painless to swap out (I also have some NATO straps but obviously those block the heart rate monitor)

I did. They got it down to about the right level and then I ended up tuning it down a couple of fine tuning spring clips lower. It's reasonably tight, but it's a metal band so I don't think one wants it unreasonably tight because it's a bit unforgiving.

It's very easy as you mention to swap out and I do it all the time in a more formal setting. But 90% of the time I use the silicone.

    Leather Strap

I'm curious about your opinion on the leather strap vs silicone for all day wear. I've got the Silver F5/Granite strap combo, and have been waiting for the leather straps to be readily available, but I'm not sure how it will compare in comfort and durability for 24/7 wear.
  • Thanks for these - was undecided about the metal band but it looks really good on the wrist in your photos.

A birthday present to myself later in the year I think!

It is quite comfortable but thick and stiff and will take some breaking in. I have not slept with the leather (nor metal) on and do prefer the flex and lightness of the silicones for sleeping in. It is good to have the leather option to quickly swap out and match leather brown shoes etc.
