iPhone 7 & 5x Smart Notifications NOT working

Does anyone else have an iPhone 7 paired to their 5x that gets smart notifications? I can't get them to appear on the 5x . version 2.90 or version 3.30

The weather comes across fine.
I can sync from the phone too.

Just not getting message alerts

*FIXED UPDATE
i didn't have message set to "Show in notification center"

iphone > Settings > Notifications > Messages > ""Show in notification center"" was set to off.

now it works and makes sense.

Reboot your watch and it'll likely work. Happened to me once or twice and that worked.

I'm getting double notifications on iPhone with emails

Once when email arrives and once when I unlock phone and looks at new Email's. (from outlook.com exchange account) Reboot does not solve that

No problem here with my 7+ ... maybe you are in Night/DND mode?

Notifications are pretty USELESS. Because you cannot select which app to show notifications and which not to show on the watch. So you will be constantly be blasted by waves of notifications. With important ones mixed with many less useful ones (Yet you still want them to show up on the phone) So you end up turning it all off.

Same for me, also with Exchange account.

Also notification count doesn't update/reset after I have read them on the phone. So my watch shows I have notifications, but my iPhone says I have none. If I get a new notification or open the notification widget it is updated.

While on 2.90. and 3.30
I rebooted watch
Reset to defaults.
reinstalled the connect app on phone

still no dice.
