GPS lost when going back to watchface during an activity

I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing this...

f I start an activity and then hold down the "Down" button to go back to watch face/widgets...I always lose GPS signal and connections to any ANT+ sensors. Because when you go back into the activity, a few seconds later it notifies that GPS has been found and reconnects to my sensors.

I also noticed, sometimes during a walk activity, it randomly goes back to the watchface which is annoying because I lose GPS and won't notice until I go back into the activity.

I reported this to the beta firmware team when I was trying out the betas, even though I've experienced it since having 2.9 public release and now on the latest firmware.

Had the exact same thing happen several times during Run activities. It has only happened to me when a custom watch face is installed.
  • Same thing happened to me when using my Run Dynamics Pod. After I turned off Pod in settings it was fine going back and forth to watch face!

Good data point. I was also using the RD Pod when it happened.
  • I've had it happen during walks without the RD pod connected. I haven't had it happen during runs with my RD pod.

Now, since you guys are using RD pod...does it remind you to remove it after the activity? Mine does not...Instead, if I try to start another activity for brief second it shows the notification.
