I was really happy with v 3.30 that GearMin worked as it should, but this lasted only one day.
Now its gone and the default Watchface 5x came shipped with is displayed.
  • Since GearMin is the only one where people are reporting this problem, it does seem to be specific to it (likely a bug in the code).

Try another one - Actiface for example - and see if it happens for you with that one.

Okay will try it out for a day and report then.
  • HandsFive has problems as well

So since v3.3 I'm having lots of watch face problems. The face I use most, HandsFive, always reverts back to its original format after a few hours. Meaning that my chosen data fields, hand colours, background colours, etc. all revert back to the HandsFive default. This did not happen before v3.3 (however there were other problems like altitude and/or sunrise/sunset times not showing up or not being accurate).
  • The face dev said on his FB profile that he had got the F5X already and had been working on the fixes. Fingers crossed...

I'm in the same boat. Gearmin, which is my favorite face, no longer works.

I've been using ActiFace in the meantime, which seems to work fine.

I jumped off the boat from the beginning, knowing all faces are having problems and kept the default garmin face.
I got gearmin working and also digic face and lines with the last beta and when 3.3 was released gearmin stopped working too.

I think we need to give them time to sort out the problem.

    HandsFive

So since v3.3 I'm having lots of watch face problems. The face I use most, HandsFive, always reverts back to its original format after a few hours. This did not happen before v3.3 (however there were other problems like altitude and/or sunrise/sunset times not showing up or not being accurate).

I've been using HandFive on 3.30beta (and 3.29beta) for about a week now, and haven't had any problem with it resetting. Altitude doesn't show up, but Sunrise/Sunset works (I have to record an exercise using the GPS to make it work for the location I want it to show me but it works). The WatchFace I do have problems with is GMT4, emailed the developer and beta support people when I ran into it on 3.29, and they are looking in to it.

When 3.30 came out Garmin said it still wasn't fixed.

    watch face

On the right side of this page:
    https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/a58303e8-b0a8-4387-ba1c-519a648d3b70

Under Additional Information, is "Contact Developer". You click on it, you get a form. If you don't hear right back, be patient. It could take a few days.

My own watches and others I use for testing are all working with 3.30, so as I said, it sounds specific to that one.

Every watch face that has configurable fields seems to revert back to the default settings. Even on 3.30 it seems less stable than the 2.97 beta. As far as watch faces go.

The GearMin developer is actively working on fixing the issues; he even bought a 5X purely to try to solve the problems.

But as one of the more complex watch faces; with a LOT of configurable settings, it seems to be suffering more than most with the known issues with the 5X firmware that have been partially fixed in 3.30, but not fully fixed.

GearMin works fine on the other Fenix 5 models and the forerunner 935.
