Wrong Wrist HR after 3.30 update

I am using my Fenix 5S for a week now, and today after update I got wrong Wrist HR readings on a Easy run. I tried to walk, reduce pace, and it didn't come back to normal.

I have heard a lot of Wrist HR getting Cadence intease of HR, and I guess that it is what happened on this run.

There's any way to remove this activity from Training Load Status, and effect on VO2, etc? It all decreased a lot.

169 bpm avg, 196 bpm max and 175 avg cadence, 191 max cadence

I doubt my HR peaked at 169.

Now I am supposed to rest for 3.5 days after an easy run.
  • 4th easy run with wrong readings. I cant trust it anymore for easy runs.

    Hi

I'm in the same firmware version in a fenix5 and I have the opposite problem: if I'm doing cardio in a clear high bpm the device is showing a much lower heart rate, almost as I was resting. Not cool.

    Also having the same issue

I am also having the same issue, the HR accuracy was great before the 3.30 firmware update now it is constantly fluctuates during gym and running workouts making it very hard to know what my actual HR is.
  • I've noticed that (before starting my run) when the heart rate lock symbol is solid, I still have to wait another 10 seconds or so for my heart rate to drop to the right starting value. It usually falls quite fast in decrements of 5bpm.
This is something new in FW 3.30.
  • Low HR Readings

I am seeing the same issue. I am in the middle of a tennis game running furiously and my HR shows as 58 bpm, (which is also my resting HR). So definitely something wrong there.

Seeing the same inconsistencies on my Forerunner 935 since 3.30. The activity below is a hike on Monday. Notice the spikes and overall low HR starting at the 2 hour mark in the uphill sections.

I am also having the same issue, the HR is very high with a easy run...
  • My HR sensor has never worked properly... I wish I can return this thing!
  • Low Heart rate readings

I've noticed this too, not sure if from latest update or out of the box, I use a belt for all activities like running cycling, mbiking, but when at rest my 935 shows ridiculously low numbers 30bpm, i'm confident this is not correct, around mid 40s yes, also I did go out rowing on a windy day had just the optical working, max heart rate for 1 hr 75bpm, Garmin told me to reset the watch, just don't know if I can be bothered anymore, it's just pointless.
  • same here, too high o-HR during runs, even slower ones. No, I don´t have 150+ at slow runs ;) more like around 100bpm

fine with biking, fine with walking around - but for running I now use the HRM-Run from my F3. Always correct HR...
