Where is the weather data sourced from and what location is my Fenix 5X using? Just curious because it's off by several degrees from multiple other sources.
My GC account is registered in the US, however in my mobile GC app (on Android), it simply states that the Canadian Radar is provided by Environment Canada. This, by the way, is under Settings/Weather.
I have too Canadian Radar and i'm in austria. My S7 shows 14°C and 5x app 17°C local vienna meterostation 14,2°C.
I've asked this question many times, I believe each time I got a new Garmin :). Never got the answer...
It's definitely not any of the common weather data providers, as I tried to reconcile the data. All I know I need to add 3-4 Celsius degrees each time as the temperature is continuously understated, regardless of the place I'm currently in.
You can also see the data from any Weather Underground station in CIQ with this one. Be it your own back yard or one that's closest to your current location.
The native widget doesn't provide a "source" or a timestamp for how old the data is. This one does... And it ONLY need GPS when you tell it to change locations and then fires it up on the watch to get the location. No mystery.....

Recently tried this one, but it only shows current data, which is pretty unappealing. It would be much mlre of interest, to see the forecast.
AccuWeather is a pretty good app, but it only shows forecast for the net 120'. So there it also would be great to ie forecast for the next few days.
This stinks. It gives me data from the Boulder Municipal Airport, which is only 15 miles away but 4,000’ LOWER, so the temperature and weather stamps on my activities are totally inaccurate for my location.
