Maps and Navigation. New User help

Hello,

New to Garmin and I just got my 5x yesterday.

I seem to be having a problem with maps. I dont have any on my watch. When I do my activities it is just a blank white screen with a blue arrow on it. No roads or road names or anything.
Also when I go into Navigation, I have NO points of interest, "around me" or "use map" none of those settings that I have seen on youtube videos.

When I go into Navigation, after "coordinates" it is empty. No other options.

Am I doing something wrong here? Do I have a setting turned off somewhere?

It's like you have the maps "off". Check that they are activated in:

Menu> Settings> Activities and Applications> Activity (Career Example)> Career Settings> Map> Configure Maps> and that they are on

No map available when I scroll through. There is a GPS setting but NO map setting.

Also no map option when I go to "activities" only Navigation. And under Navigation NO points of interest, NO around me, none of that stuff.

This is a 5x Phoenix, right ??

Yes you are right.

The company sent me the wrong model

They actually sent me a Fenix 5 with Sapphire glass, which is why I didnt think twice.
