By my 5x was only an usb-cable shipped and in quickstart guide was said i should charge 5x pluged in to usb-port from comp. I will go for holiday soon and will only take my S7 and its quick-charger with me. So can i charge the 5x with the charger from my S7, or must i buy a Garmin 5x charger?
I guess Garmin just decided people have so many chargers already it was not worth while including one. I would agree with this. I have several Garmin chargers in my draw which I have never used and am unlikely to do so. The current demands of charging the watch are low, so pretty much any existing USB charger will work fine with the Fenix 5. I am happy they did not include a charger as this would simply be more landfill and would put up the price unnecessarily. How many people who buy a Fenix 5 do not have any other USB chargers? The number must be very low and they can easily purchase one from amazon or the like. Good decision Garmin.
I would have preferred a longer charge cable though, or the option to buy one. I know I could use an extension cable, but to me this is messy and I'd rather have a longer cable so I do not need to scrabble about under my desk; although in reality this is such a pain I connected my monitor's USB hub to the PC and plug it into the monitor instead.
Yes thats good, i just wanted to be careful as they said nothing in quickstart guide. Only plug in to comp usb to charge. Ex. Samsung warns you only use Samsung usb-cable for software update on smartphone. And yes a longer cable would be much better, sadly its not a standard micro usb plug. If you lose the cable, you can only order one by Garmin for 29.99€, i don't think any store has it on stock.

You can use ANY charger. The only difference will be the speed of the charge dependant on the amperage of the charger (for example, a PC USB delivering 5v @ 500mA will charge your device twice as slow an iPhone charger delivering 5v @ 1000mA, and four times slower than a charger delivering 5.1v @ 2100mA).

This is because some USB cables are charge only, and some are capable of data transfer too. A software update necessitates the transfer of data to your mobile device, therefore, all USB cables are not equal.

You can use a simple extension. In my experience, it's not nearly as messy or inconvenient as other posters imply.
There have been many discussion about it already. What I can say I've been using the original cable with many chargers with no issues (this include my iPhone charger, Anker multi-slot wall USB charger and Hama 5V / 1000mA one).
I'm using a charger which is able to quick charge a phone. For the Garmin 5X, only 200mA are used during loading. I guess virtually any charger is able to deliver this, so I don't expect any differences in charging time.
