Although I just got the watch, after wearing it for just about an hour, it's starting to feel too big, heavy, and ungainly to me.
It's an amazing piece of technology, and the reason I got it was that I was a bit disappointed with a few of the things lacking on my Forerunner 630 (optical heart sensor, barometric pressure sensor, compass, etc.), and the things it has that are annoying (touch screen isn't the easiest thing to use).
But since the only things that the Fenix 5x has that put it above the 5s (maps/huge memory and battery), and the Forerunner 935 (same as 5s, but plastic) aren't that crucial to me, I'm wondering if a Forerunner 935 would be more what I want. It'd be lighter and somewhat smaller, but has most of the same features.
The main reason I favored the Fenix 5x was because I like to do long-distance bike touring, and I hate depending on my phone for navigation, since GPS eats power like crazy. I also didn't want to get a bike-specific Garmin (the 1000 or 820, for example) - I wanted a watch form-factor.
Have any of you played with a Forerunner 935, and can compare it to the Fenix 5x? Is it that much easier on the wrist, less obtrusive, etc?
