Hi my tempe needs long 60-90 seconds to connect on 5x
On my S7 i ve AmbiTemp Free there it only takes 5-10 seconds to connect to tempe.
Also on AmbiTemp Free it shows min temp 8,9° max temp 26,0 on Fenix 5x it shows only min 9°max 26°
So i know the tempe can show 0,1 units.
Please fix this with next update.

The problem isnt the range, the problem is if i switch to Tempe it goes back to Watchface before i get a reading.
    So Garmin please fix this.

Given that the Tempe sensor is Ant+ compliant is there a way to read it on an android phone?

I use AmbiTemp its much faster then 5x so its not fault of Tempe. Please Garmin fix it for 5x.

Is there now with 5.10 update a watchface possible that show Tempe?
  • My Fenix 5X with the older Fenix 3 connects the Tempe very slowly. A reading every 90 sec. etc is not an issue for me but first connection and reading can be faster. At least at first connection, watch can switch the BLE/ANT chip to full power to get a first reading from Tempe and than continue to update in 90 sec. or whatever.

Yes im dispointed with the connect speed too from 5x, so most time at home i use the smart phone app AmbiTemp which is very fast connected to Tempe 5-10 seconds.
But if you are on walk(without GPS )or phone is in pocket with headphones connect i use 5x
with Jim's great widget so i can see the last Tempe reading.
With Garmin own Widget it mostly just switches back to Watchface before it shows anything.

Dont know if Tempe was fixed with 5.10 but it seems to get the reading faster now.
So once again is a watchface possible with 5.10 that shows Tempe?

It's been alwats same for me. Both F3 and F5x connect after waiting some time, mostly more than a minute. :)
  • Hi and sorry for the stupid question. I don't have the sensor so far (just ordered) but I wonder one thing. If I record an activity with sensor connected temperature shown on Connect will be the internal or the external ? or both ? In some activities (i.e. long trails) I'd like to have on Connect's data external temperature (internal doesn't have much sense imho). Thanks a lot

My understanding is if Tempe is connected then the Connect graph will show the external temperature from the Tempe. But I could be wrong....
