  • Is that a typo in the red writing? We had 2.11 firmware for the 5 but the 2.21 was the 5S one that got botched. Unless I've missed something
  • Wasn´t it 3.11 and 3.21 ???

It was, but I think they got confused. The beta release (labeled 3.11) they put out for the 5/5s also came out for the 5x,which was labeled 3.21. Then they put 3.21 (I didn't see that personally) because of the 3.11 muck up with the 5s and then they made 3.22.

I didn't listen to them and installed 3.22 anyways, watch is fine, please though look into the oHRM. Getting low, low reports since 3.11.I have a low RHR, but that number is sticking longer than it should during the day.
  • Could someone who's had a reply from Fenix beta team post their guidelines or manual for updating 5S from 3.21 to 3.22?
It seems that the team is not that fast in answering e-mails.

You need separate software that they attach to the email they will send. This finds the device whilst in 'garmin' mode and installs it for you.

I'm not sure if the software is device specific (I doubt it) but you might be be best waiting for garmin to email you. They were very quick replying to me so hopefully shouldn't be that long for you.

It's been 24 hours and still no reply... I hope that it's a "weekend thing" and they're going to send the file on Monday.

Does anyone have an update as to how the f5 is working with Stryd now?

Using it with the Stryd CIQ app? God Awful.

Using it with the run function and the Stryd data field? Perfect. No dropouts, right on point synced to everything with no problems.

I literally just sat down from 10k run.

Thanks for the reply. Is that with an f5, 5s or 5x? Has the connectivity improved with one of the firmware updates? My understanding is that even on 2.90 dropouts are frequent.
  • No dropouts on the 5s with the HRM RUN 4 ( red one)

Updated to the latest beta and had 0 drop outs using HRM RUN4 on running dynamics data and HR data. Arms down the side was fine only when I put my arm round my back did it lose the connection.
