Fenix 5 APAC won't connect to TickR X via ANT+ after v2.9 firmware/hub updates

Hi. For Fenix 5 APAC users, is anyone else having issues connecting their TickR X HRM and watch via ANT+ after updating to v2.9 firmware and hub? My watch connects to the Tickr X fine via Bluetooth, but cannot see it via ANT+. It worked fine prior to updating the firmware and hub :-/ Alex
  • I have similar issue that my HRM-RUN will no longer connect. It did previous to 2.96 beta. Tried deleting the pairing and re-pairing but now doesn't find the strap at all...just keeps showing "searching" until times out.
  • ALL external sensors are to one degree or another are not connecting properly. Ant +, BT doesn't matter. My HRM-Tri has issues, my Polar H10 is having problems, the BT connection to the app on my phone is having problems (which is the range). Whatever they did since Beta 2.72 has made connections unstable/broken. It was the same thing on my prior 5x.

Thanks for your feedback guys. Another weird thing that happened when I upgraded(?) to the APAC v2.9 firmware ... it deleted some of the sensors from my watch. It's good to know that it's not just me having connectivity issues and hopefully Gamin is doing something about it. In the end I did a full reset on my watch (and lost all my data :( ) and then, and only then, could I get my recalcitrant sensors to connect to the watch via ANT+.

I have seen the same issue and the way I've solved it without full reset (and therefore keeping all my settings and data) is to:
1- delete the device from Garmin Connect Mobile
2- Turn off Bluetooth on the watch
    3- Power cycle the watch
4- Delete all the ANT sensors from the watch
5- Reconnect all the ANT sensors.
6- Reassociate the watch to Garmin Connect Mobile.

It's tedious but not as much as recreating everything from scratch and rebuilding your VO2max history.

    Hope this helps.

That's terrific! Wish I'd thought of that instead of applying a sledge hammer to the problem. I've kept this in my notes for future reference - thanks :D
