Quick question about smart notifications. Does Garmin connect have to be open on your phone to get notifications on the watch? Or do you just have to use it to pair the phone and watch, and once that is done you can close the app?
IOS notifications. Can i filter notification of my interest?
I use this thread on smart notifications, because i cannot figure how i can enable only certain notification on IOS. For example: i would receive on my watch only notifications regarding whatsapp and sms, not emails and others....
On my previous Vivoactive HR i can, but on Fenix 5 it seems not possible, am i right?

It's all or nothing. Anything that comes to your IOS notifications page will be displayed on the watch. If you want to discontinue on the watch you have to discontinue notifications on the iPhone.
