Navigation Settings

Hi,

today I tried to use the "navigate-back-home"-function. In general it went well, however the type of tracks the fenix suggested was quite strange. From real trial tracks (if tracks at all, I'd rather say that it has been completely in the wild) to very wide roads it suggested everything. And - second issue - it was not the shortest way home...

This results in the question whether it is possible to set the type of tracks fenix 5x uses for the way home: streets, paved surfaces, ... Second question: is it possible to influence / optimize the route somehow, in order to let fenix find the shortest way home?

Thanks in advance.

BR Stephan
  • You might try this:
    - MENU
    - Settings
    - Activities & Apps
    - Navigate
    - Navigate Settings
    - Routing
There you can modify Activity/Calculation Method/Avoidances

Just one more question: In "avoidances", when I set e.g. "ferries" to "off" or "no", does this mean that fenix will or will not calculate ferries. IMHO the wording in the menue is a bit misleading...

You are right, I like this double negative too, it's not obvious. Then again English is not my native language.
I just assume "Avoidance - Ferry ON" means yes, avoid ferries.
