kph vs pace in 'workout' mode

I'm not a runner, but I do my thing on the treadmill do get my cardio in. One thing that has come up for me, is that I made a 'workout' and downloaded it to the watch. All good. I've set-up various intervals based on kph, but when i do the exercise on the watch if gives me the pace which doesn't help me to enter the right kph into the treadmill. Is there a way to change this in the settings somewhere?
  • You can change/customise the data fields for any activity.
When you choose a workout you'll be prompted to pick an activity - or if you do it the other way round you'll pick an activity and then choose to do a workout.
If for example you choose the run activity then it will usually be set up to show pace/hr etc.

You can change the fields that are shown by following the instructions in the manual as per below

    Hope that helps you!

I'm not talking about the data screens, I'm talking about the alerts based on the training program. So for example, if I set up my training program to run for 2min at 12 kph, it alerts me to run at a pace of 9:03/km which isn't helpful when I'm trying to figure out what speed to adjust the treadmill. I've set up an invertal program, so I'm changing the speed every 1-2 minutes. I just want the watch alert to tell me the kph I should enter into the treadmill and not give me the pace. Make sense?
  • Understand what you need and unsure how you might do that.

    I'd be more concerned at 12kph being a pace of 9:03 min/km as 12kph = 5 min/km
  • Right I understand your query now. I've tested this and can confirm this works.
You need to go to Settings -> Systems -> Format -> Pace/Speed Preference -> Running
If you change the setting from Show Pace to Show Speed then the alerts will be speed based

Worked like a champ! They really buried that menu...lol. Is there a way to turn off the speed alerts? It's annoying as the treadmill speed is what it is, I don't need the watch buzzing every 20 seconds to tell me my speed. Thanks.

My terrible ability to convert pace to kph is exactly why I needed this. Lol. :p
