Screen turns black during activity

Hello everyone,

I'm sure this is a pretty simple one, but I'm not having luck in searches. During the course of a GPS assisted activity (running), sometimes the screen will change from white background and black lettering to black background and white lettering. What's the watch trying to tell me?

Sounds like you have enabled the 'Auto Climb' function. There you can set the option to switch color.
