Erratic length time in Swimming Lap - Fenix 5

Hi all,
I just learn swimming. Previously I use vivoactive for swimming. The time for every length was ok. But I think my new fenix 5 black sapphire has issue with this.
Yesterday I swam 1500m in 25m pool, the first 13 length time was way over the actual. It said 1:27 to 1:35 for each 25m! Yes, I am a very slow beginner swimmer, but it's impossible I swim 25m in more than 1 minutes :). The next 47 length was just normal (about 0:32 - 0:53). This happen also 3 days ago when I swam 450m in 50m pool for the first time using this fenix 5.
Anyone experience this too? How to resolve this.

PS: Am I in right place? Or need to move to Swim forum?

Yes the autodetection has detected the right type: FREESTYLE
  • Hello,

Are you sure that you setup the right pool length? I have done myself over 15 km in the pool with absolutely no mistake.

Yes, I am sure it's in right pool length setting. It showed the wrong time on the first 13 length, then normal for the next 47. I was not able to change the pool length setting while swimming, just concentrate to keep swimming and not drowning :) It's my longest swimming for my entire 42 years life :) FYI, 2 months ago I barely finish 50m.
  • You have to push at the end of interval with enough force to tell the watch that interval is over. I did yesterday 2Km swimming and at one interval a lady just came from nowhere so I pushed a little slower and the watch has not recorded that lap, the only time with F5.

    Thanks.
Ok, will try next time to push harder at the end. But I think I pushed the wall somewhat as same force as when using the vivoactive, and still the vivoactive recorded well every length.

Btw, If I did not push harder at the end, the length time of +1:20 could be for 2 length? So I might swim more than 1500M?! It's a good news:)

After seeing the interval breakdown, I realized the length #2-#13 total stroke was usually for a 50m pool length. So, it make sense that the culprit is not push hard enough at the pool end.
    With that 12 length 50m counted as a 25m, I think I swam for 1500m+300m :)
