Asian versions

Hi,

I am passing through Bangkok, Thailand, and thinking to buy a Fenix 5. I've read a couple posts talking about Asian firmware versions of the watch. I don't live in Asia, I live in Africa / Europe. Can anyone tell me:

- What exactly is the difference between Asian and non-Asian versions?

- Can one firmware be flashed to a different one?

- Can anyone recommend the best place to buy the watch in Bangkok?

It's different FW between the APAC and "rest of world" versions of the watch, and you can't put the non-apac FW on a APAC device, and the APAC FW often lags the non-APAC FW by some time. The big difference is languages. All devices support english I believe, but APAC versions only support the specific language of the region (Chinese, Korean, etc), while the non-apac versions support the others but not what's on the regional APAC versions.

I'd only get an APAC version if you lived in that region.

Thanks, that's very helpful. Sounds like I am better off waiting until I can buy one in the U.K.
