Problem with Backlight/Gesture BUG?

The backlight gesture feature on my Fenix5 is working sporadically...

I have turned off the DND, set "Gesture" to "ON" on both "Watchmode" and "Activity Mode", but the backlight wouldn't turn every now and then...

At first i thought it was only in the morning (sleep hours), but i realized that even during non sleep hours, the same problem also happens...

I had emailed Garmin support but have yet to receive any replies... :(

i played around with the DND (do not disturb) settings and now the gesture works properly :D

I got my F5 yesterday an have the same problem (SW2.9) I think this should be solved within the next updates.

I had the same issue but noticed it only happened at 20% battery or less. Once Charged the backlight gesture was back agin. I also noticed that after a storm alert, same thing happened, but rebooting did nothing. I have to wait over night for it to work again.

I sent my Garmin watch folder for diagnosis. Hopefully they fix this soon.

Just happened again last night.. I got a storm alert and again, the backlight gesture light would not work. I rebooted the watch, the phone and still nothing. This morning everything was fine. It is a bug for sure, but at least it is temporary and it goes back to normal after many hours. What is strange is that it doesn't happen every time I get a storm alert ? I hope they fix this soon..

Hello. I can confirm problems with backlight gesture during activity.
I have gesture ON for activities. Sometimes it works but mostly not.
On the other side it works perfectly for watch mode (if I turn it on)
Software version: 4.10
Serial number: 53A004491
