i received my F5 today. I'm happy.

I try to have a simple watchface as main watchface, with the hour and heartrate level.

It's a nice tool, but so complex to use.

I'm 68 years old, lol. No comment, but if you know how to obtain this simple watchface, please, tell it to me.

Very close to what you want

NoFrills sounds like what you want. Has that and your daily steps. Nice big numbers on time for my old eyes as well.

I' surprised. Hour of the day and heart rate, it should be the basis. Is it too simple for Garmin to create a such watchface ?

Go look around the connect store but no watchface has a live HR data, they are all delayed/stores data that gets updated every 15mins? Or so.

Right now watchface can only display the last 24/7 HR reading. It's all about the battery - having it real time would burn the battery faster. "Simple Heart" in my link shows time, HR, and steps in a larger font.

The native HR widget on watches can do things that can't be done with any connect IQ watchface. Basically, it can start the HR sensor and get "real time" data while the widget runs (but the widget will only run for a short time), while CIQ watchfaces can only look at the history and see the 24/7 HR readings. (and only on watches with CIQ 2.x and wrist based HR)

EPIX (CIQ 1.2) doesn't have HR in the wrist. I used MioLink. "Optimus HR" watchface worked correctly.

Interestings. Not quote sure exactly how that is working on the Epix! I've never heard of that happening on other watches.

I used the Optimus HR watchface on my Fenix 3HR and it showed HR and a pretty good watchface but it is not available for the Fenix 5x.
