  • Well there's so much you can do using the same "raw material, i.e. weak GPS signals due to the design. Pace (and overall track "wobbliness") did improve a bit from 2.40 to 2.72b (no change seen from 2.72b to 2.90) but that was visibly at the expense of heavier filtering...pretty cosmetic if you ask me. But let's see what 2.95 brings!
  • 1st run with the 2.95. Distance still spot on and the map looks good.

Pace is still very erratic. I really hope they sort this one - atm it's impossible to rely on instant pace.

Here is the comparison betweem V2.90 and V2.95

  • don't rely on instant pace. Either use lap pace, or a CIQ averaging pace, that should sort the issue.

  • Not really a messed up instant pace means the underlying data is no good so you're just averaging out the problem but it remains vs a watch that doesn't have it like the FR235 or FT935.
  • 'Distance is spot on and the map looks good'. Underlying data must be o.k.

What is the problem with pace? I checked the link you provided and pace is stable 5:34, 5:38, 5:28

These are probably only lap paces - per 1 km (Check speed graph!). Instant pace is very erratic. As suggested, one can rely only on average or lap pace, but it would be better to have more frequent accurate feedback. I tried 30 sec average (CIQ) and it's not much better than the instant pace.
