I was using my Fenix 5 yesterday at the gym running on the track. I was also using my HRM-Run chest strap as well. After a bit of a warmup, I tried doing intervals but I noticed my heart rate was nowhere near correct, so I saved the first run, and tried restarting the run with equally poor results.
The image here () shows the first part of my run. I started a jog at 5:00 but prior to that it's registering a 150 bpm HR. No way it's much more than 110. Then when I started my intervals, it didn't do anything. Looking at my pace which seems about right, the HR portion looks like complete non-sense.
After I restarted, the graph looks like . For a while my heart rate went up and down but then it just sorta stopped being meaningful. At the end there was no real rise when I was sprinting so it was kinda useless.
Is there any fix for this sort of thing? I assume it was using my chest strap (I know originally I saw it said it found the chest strap). I tried rewetting the contacts and that seemed to help for a second but not really. It's kinda frustrating to have it happen because I rely on my HR info when I'm running and I'm not sure what the issue is. Most of the time this seems to work fine but when this happens the watch is completely useless. Or was I doing something wrong?
Thanks.
