Fénix 5x screen flickering

Is there anyone who has this little flicker on the screen? Is seen with any type of light (sunlight or indoor) and with the backlight off on the clock. it's a small flickering, but the screen of my fenix3 is completely fix compared with the screen of the fenix 5x

    3.42 beta firmware :
Fixed an issue where the device screen seems to pulsate when using a white background, in low power mode.

Perhaps a good news with the new beta firmware :)

"Fixed an issue where the device screen seems to pulsate when using a white background, in low power mode."

    Have a nice day :)
  • It seems in the ongoing debate of hardware issue vs firmware issue, Garmin is coming out on the side of "firmware" given that their latest beta 3.42 claims to fix the issue!
  • Link doesn't work for now, however the issue is present even in high power mode for example in activity data field... i haven't much hope... "Fixed an issue where the device screen seems to pulsate when using a white background, in low power mode."
  • WOW! I can confirm that flickering is GONE! Good work beta team!

NICE! I really hope they solved the problem. I have a replacement watch incoming from my reseller, but maybe it was a software issue after all. :o
  • LOL. They probably overclocked the crap out of the processor and our watches will fail in 6 months, but the flickering is gone! (Just kidding) My faint flickering doesn't bother me since I have to produce exact conditions to see it, but glad they may have a fix. And I think a video of the problem must exaggerate the issue because of fps of the vid against the refresh rate of the screen--sort of like seeing computer screens on video with their lines moving top to bottom.

What does "low power mode" mean exactly? Is that anytime I have a white background and backlight is off?
