Anyone else got their Fenix 5 in a plain box?

Have been enjoying my Fenix 5 for a couple of weeks now and I just randomly noticed that my Fenix 5 came in a very plain box. Like this: http://gph.is/2oDDQY0

Although all the photos I see online have clear product photos. Like so: http://ep.yimg.com/ay/gundog/fenix-5-watch-box-3.jpg

I have the Slate Gray Sapphire with Metal Band. Purchased in Australia.
I was just wondering if this meant anything (early production model, first batch etc. etc.)

I could be wrong, but it looks like your box is missing the outer sleeve.

I initially chuckled as that does sound like something I'd miss, alas, I went and double checked some unboxing videos. There's no sleeve. DC Rainmaker's unboxing

Interesting, same here, slate grey sapphire purchased in the Czech Republic, the other side of the world (so probably not decision of regional marketing dep). Plus fairly high S/N, doesnt look like early production model. I also wonder if it means anything. Refurb? I hope not...

I purchased the 5s champagne sapphire from Ryda here in Australia, and mine is the same.. Grey box with no picture of the watch.

Not that I'm keeping track, but it seems to only be sapphire models that have come in plain boxes.

Perhaps the plain grey boxes are intended for places like watch jewelers that want a more clean presentation in their cases? Less home electronic looking and more watch looking packaging? I think I read somewhere that the metal band versions in many parts here in Europe are only sold in watch/jewelers stores rather then sporting goods stores. :eek:

I have the same box and I have Fenix 5 Saphire and it is a legit device both from Garmin directly. So I guess some Saphire devices have this kind of box.
