Clever training accepted my order and said the F5 was in stock, but they are unable to send it .... They collected my Mastercard, but are unable to send the Watch.... Not very happy
  • I would be HIGHLY frustrated as well.. I guess I was one of the lucky ones. Happened to go to REI's website March 21st or so, noticed them in stock and ordered one, was wearing it a week later. It appears that a lot of other folks have had terrible experiences trying to get theirs, particularly those that took advantage of a pre-order
  • Yes, same happened to me. I placed an order on April 1st, it said ships within 5-7 days. They charged my card immediately.
After 5 day I contacted them and they said they're out, but expect to be able to ship in April with an arrival in early May.

I've to say they're a decent company but their order intake and processing is borderline unprofessional.
  • Me too...

Not with Clever Training but with Garmin directly.

Today their site no longer says "Estimated Availability: 3-5 weeks" -- but it still only has an email spot, no "buy" ability.

WTF Garmin? Why release a small amount then make us all wait on pins and needles?!?!?!

It's illegal to charge a card before shipment without obtaining explicit consent from the customer including an expected shipment date. If the date changes you must inform the customer and allow them to cancel and receive a full refund immediately.

This requirement has been in place for at least 25 years (back when I started taking cards as a merchant) and as far as I know it has NOT been rescinded or changed. Similar clauses are also in merchant agreements.

I would tell Clever to refund the charge now and immediately dispute it with your card issuer if they do not.
