Settings bug

All,

The majority of bugs i read about and encounter seem to come down to settings resetting all the time - on their own or due to sync issues which garmin is famous for.

Anyone have a way to use a connect iq watchface, ideally gearmin, with data fields, and not have settings revert to default every five minutes?

I hear that settings bug is fixed in 2.91 but that's not even beta. Also hear developers can get it for testing now. Any ideas how??

I've not head of any CIQ settings getting reset on the f5x (and I know it doesn't happen on the f5 with the apps I use, mostly ones I wrote)

Is it specific to the one watchface?

In my sig, if you use the app store link, "Not So Simple" is one I often use on the f5, and I know settings there work fine there. If they don't save on the f5x, I can make sure it's reported to Garmin and can send them the code if needed.

Please use "Contact Developer" for it in the app store, as I may ask you to send a couple files from your watch.

Take note of the steps. Install, change settings, sync, etc. If the watch resets at some point, that would be a case where the settings could be lost, for example.

I haven't noticed this issue with any of my CIQ apps/widgets/watch faces yet, fortunately. Hopefully it's resolved with further massaging of the firmware

BTW, if you are doing settings from a phone, is it Android or iOS?

Some apps in the store in their descriptions say to only do settings with Garmin express. There's a "quirk" with Android that some apps haven't coded for, and the settings may not stick correctly. Mine are all Andriod friendly.

happens in either garmin connect on ios or garmin express on mac. doesn't matter.
