Reading Multiple Text Messages from the same person

I am able to receive text messages just fine, and when I get multiple texts from different people I can scroll through all of them (but it looks like one long text..).

The issue is when a single person sends 2 or more messages, my watch tells me there are "2 Messages", but when you click on it to go further and read them, it just says "2 Messages".

Anyone know how to read multiple messages?

Issues with multiple text messages on Android

I have a similar issue with my 5X and Nexus 6p running the latest version of Android. If Someone sends me multiple text messages, when I go into notifications, only the most recent one is displayed. This is very annoying. Garmin, any fix planned?

Feedback from Garmin is that the Watch is only able to access the notifications drop down on the phone. Whatever is displayed there will be shown on the watch. Some phones just say "Mcelbo (2)" when there are two messages. I find it hard to believe they can't access actual text messages and let you scroll through them, but they are claiming "access issues" with Android.

Anyone smarter than me know if this is true?

I had the same issue, but changed to different app on the phone for messages. I changed to Messenger. Then it works with multiple messages. Think it works with Hangouts as well, but haven't tried. So basically just try setting a different standard text app on the phone.
