Fenix 5X not recognised on either MBP or iMac

Hi all,

Straight out the box my F5X worked a dream.

Since upgrading FW2.9 I have had several issues and wondering if anyone else has.

First Strava segments, agree is not working, thats OK I can cope!

Now, neither my MBP nor my desktop is seen by Garmin express.

Prior to no longer been seen was having to repeatedly add the device?

I don't necessarily believe its faulty but more inclined to believe its a firmware and updating issue but obviously wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issues and if anyone has any work arounds?

See the cable thread. People tend to think its the cable connection but I'm inclined to think its update related as I had no issues when my watch was 2.4. Which thank goodness it was stable when I bought the watch and the 24k topo map for the race I'm doing next weekend and already had uploaded it before the 2.9 update because now my laptop can't see my watch long enough to sync anything. It connects and disconnects reapeatedly for fractions of secondsmeach time, with eventually my computer telling me my unknown drive has a service error. But the watch will charge no problem from the same 2.0 USB port and cable. And it was fine before, so I don't think it's the cable but the watch firmware. I feel for people with a sweet watch that can't add anything via USB & computer until it's fixed.

I agree, I can charge the device and it was syncing perfectly fine before 2.90.

As you say time will tell.
