Lost Connection to Garmin Connect

I have had my Fenix 5X for over a week now. I was originally running firmware version 2.4, but I upgraded to version 2.9 over the weekend. Today, I lost the connection between my F5X and my Samsung Note 4 running Garmin Mobile Connect. I tried to reestablish the connection several times following the directions in Garmin Connect with no success. I then tried deleting my F5X device from Garmin Connect and then to add it back. Garmin Connect cannot find my F5X. Has anyone else experience this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions that I might try to reestablish the connection?

    I had that the first couple of days with my iPhone. In the morning it would show the device under Bluetooth but the app had it greyed. Had to restart the watch to get it to talk again.

    Since then its been good. Actually very good. I'll sometimes leave the phone in the bedroom and can still see the connection in other rooms!
