Could not import GPX course under 2.90 ?

I tried last week to import an .GPX (by copying it in Garmin/NewFiles) to transfert it as a course. It work great

Now, under 2.90, I tried with different .GPX files and my F5X never shows the course in Navigation menu. Indeed, the corresponded .FIT files doesn't exist in Garmin/Courses folder and no issue is reported :mad:
I even tried to do it via BaseCamp (which actually juste copy a temp.GPX in Garmin/NewFiles..), but it also fails...

I tried one of this .GPX file with my old F3 : bingo, it's works great !! Then I tried to transfer the generated .FIT file from my F3 to Garmin/NewFiles folder of my F5X : nothing again :mad:

Is it a bug from 2.90 release ?? Do you experience the same issue ?

Exemple of .GPX export from Basecamp, installed on F5X from BaseCamp and not converted as a course in the F5X (not available in Courses list, no .FIT file corresponding in Garmin/Course folder...)

This is a very basic .GPX, less than 500 points !! Why it doesn't work under fw2.9 ?

Thanks but what are the difference with the file I posted ? Your file doesn't work too :(

I known for the name length limitation, but normally the F5x makes a truncation when converting a .GPX file to .FIT.
I can see it's OK for you, thx (assuming you are under 2.9)

I tried with a short name (with your .GPX), same issue.
I tried to switch on/off the F5x, same issue again :-(

Actually, I can't send any course : even a course available on GC Mobile, when I try to send it to the F5x, nothing happens :-(

Seems to have a major issue with my F5x :
- issue to send course
- language settings regularly lost
- watch face settings regularly lost

My f5X isn't reading FIT files (Garmin/Courses) with Polish characters in name :mad:

Just to be sure : could you please confirm the method you used to install the .gpx on your F5x ? Via BaseCamp (copy from your collection to the device) ? Directly on F5x storage disk in Garmin/NewFiles folder ?
I tried again (even with short name and no "special" character for name of the course), but always impossible to have the course available on my F5x...

1. Remove from the folder /Garmin/Courses all bad FIT files
2. Copy/paste GPX file -> Garmin/NewFiles folder.

OK, issue fixed

Bingo !!!

I made a cleanup off Garmin/Courses folder (= delete all files) and immediately the .GPX file (above) has been recognized and my course is available on my F5X :p

Actually, I had copied the Garmin/Courses folder from my F3 directly to my F5X. All seems to be OK (the courses ware available this right info)... Even each name of the .FIT file had been renamed...
Strange but I must confess that I had not follow the "right" procedure to populate my F5x with a batch of courses...
