Navigation course : no full screen display available

I confirm : with a navigation course, it is not possible to display the map on full screen : whatever your config is for the map (0 datafield in my case), the bottom of the screen always shows the distance to the end of the course (or distance to the course if you are off course)




Very disappointed because I prefer to enjoy a "full screen" map, that is still not easy to see during a trail :confused::mad:

    Seems to be the same on F5/S (non-X) :



    Another thing : on map screen, the heading bug is available on F5/S (see above), but not on 5X :mad: Could be useful also for 5X on this specific screen, because at certain zoom level could be difficult to known if you need to turn now or not !!

    The user should be able to en-/disable that. Some like it, some not....

    Thx for the information,

    This would be a deal-breaker for myself. EUR750 and no option to get a full-screen map on an already small display?!
    Will follow this with interest to see if/when this is made possible.

    100% agree and was thinking of creating a thread just for this as I've commented on a couple of threats but have not found a solution yet. There have been a couple of people who insist it is possible to get rid of the distance on the bottom and have given vague instructions, but nothing has worked for me.

    I really do not want to waste 1/3rd of the screen on a distance I do not care about. Would love to have the whole screen visible when following a course.

    To those who say it can be done, please give full, precise instructions on how to do it. Note that we are taking about following a course from within a run or walk activity.

    Go into data screens edit for your run profile.. Delete the map. Come out, go back in an add it back in. Works a treat.

    Yes, but does it work for navigating a course?
    Edit: What I want to know is if I have an imported course on the map, does this fix work for the navigation screen? I can't try it yet as awaiting for my F5X to arrive.

    It does not work when following a course. Tried everything....
    The bottom third of the screen still displays distance to destination.

    I can't figure out how to remove it. I played with the settings too, and I noticed a bug where the course disappeared altogether. I then saved where I had got and started a new activity. In hindsight, I probably should have simply re-loaded the course.

    It also seems to pick a rather lengthy track but it's pretty impressive.

    Are you navigating a course after doing this? This is one of the things I have tried and it simply does not work for me (or others). So, this does NOT work a treat for me. Logically, I do not see how this would work either.
