Watch Face Temperature

Anyone know if there's a watch face that displays the current outside temperature? I looked through the Connect IQ store and haven't found any. Wondering if this is a limitation of the platform.
  • The only temperature that be seen on a watchface is the last reading from the internal sensor in the watch (the senor's "history") (I have a few i the app store that will do that - "Simple Graph", "Simple TEP", and "Not So Simple"). There is also a widget ("Temps") where you can see both the internal sensors, but also a Tempe if it's in range.

The reason being is that a watchface can neither access sensors directly, or do any sort of comm to the internet. I have a watch-app, called "Time and Tempe", where you could have a tempe sensor outside, and it would show the temperature while you are in range. After that, comm can also be done from a widget or a watch app. I have a weather widget (WU Widget) that uses the internet, and if you have your own back yard weather station, you can see the data from that. If you don't have your own, it will find one close by.

Click on the link in my sig to find the apps I mentioned.

Thanks for the info. Interesting that not even the native Watch faces have a temperature data field. I came from an Apple Watch that had this field and it was super useful.
  • To be accurate, the Apple watch displays temperature from a weather app. That's not quite the same as displaying the current outside temperature, which is what you asked for.

If you want a weather app for your F5 that's a different matter. Perhaps something like this - https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/c1facb1f-db5a-4352-adf3-9dd09e6fc668
